Dear WFF Friends,
We have some important news of potential scams on eBay concerning Wee Forest Folk®. There are several stores that appear to be selling discounted WFF. The scam is that they don’t actually have the mouse, they collect payment and then use a stolen credit card to attempt to ship the item from another seller. They are probably changing their usernames frequently so as not to get tracked down. These eBay “stores” are not authorized WFF retailers. Our authorized WFF retailers have been made aware of this problem and are monitoring their online orders closely.
Here are some descriptors these “stores” have in common that can help you spot a scam:
- the products are discounted which is against WFF policy
- they are often based out of South America or Vietnam
- they advertise having a US warehouse
We have been made aware of over five "stores" at this time and are working with eBay to attempt to identify and stop potential scams. The best way to avoid these scams is to only buy Wee Forest Folk through our website or authorized WFF retailers which can be found on our Store Finder.
